What happens at the Drop-In
At the drop-in you can see an advocate for one to one support with an issue or to get information.
You can use computers and iPads, listen to music, play games and simply relax with a cup of tea.
Sometimes we may have some questions to ask you too (called consultations) from other organisations like the local council. You don’t have to answer these if you don’t want to.
Some people come to the drop-in regularly and meet new friends. People tell us it’s good to talk to other people with learning difficulties who may have had similar experiences.
It’s ok to bring support staff with you if you need them, but if it’s busy, or if people want the space to be away from support staff, we may ask them to sit in a different room…they can have a cuppa too though, so they are usually happy to give people some space.
