Chris Skidmore MP Visits Speak Out

Chris Skidmore MP came to visit Speak Out whilst he was travelling the country finding out what barriers are faced by people when getting involved in democracy. He spent time with both staff and members of the Being Heard in Government group (a group of adults with learning disabilities who work together to understand and get more involved in democracy), where he said he was really interested in the points that everyone raised and was going to feed it all back to the All Party Working Group he was part of.

Chris not only spoke to people in Brighton with learning disabilities, he also spoke to homeless people and partially sighted people to understand more about the barrier that they are faced with when voting.

We’d like to thank Chris Skidmore MP for taking the time to visit Speak Out.
