Funding from the Barchester’s Charitable Foundation

Speak Out has been kindly awarded funding to help support our drop-in sessions from the Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.

The grant will be spent on art materials and creative art supplies, as well as providing refreshments to those who attend the drop-in sessions. It will also help pay for publicity and marketing of the drop-ins as well as rent of the venue.

We are very grateful for this kind donation as our drop-in sessions provide a safe and supportive space where people with learning disabilities can come and not only see their peers and meet new people, but also talk about concerns in their lives, the world and their thoughts on the future. Our drop-in sessions help create a safe and more inclusive neighbourhood and community cohesion, promotes and improves health, wellbeing and the feeling of safety. These vital sessions reduce isolation and improve the mental health of people with learning disabilities within the city.
