In 2001 the following took place
New Advisors group is set up with 10 members. Their roles is to feedback to the Management Committee about Speak Out’s work and the experience of people with learning disabilities getting advocacy support.
Government publishes Valuing People White Paper setting out a plan to improve services for people with learning disabilities. As a result Speak Out sets up a group that attend local planning meetings.
Events - AGM at Dudley Hotel, Carousel Art workshop, Karaoke at Horatio’s, sponsored walk.
