In 2006 the following took place
Citizen advocacy and Issue advocacy and self advocacy groups are growing
Self-advocacy groups campaign about a range of issues including free bus passes for pwld. Council policy changed as a result.
Travel Buddy scheme is initiated and a steering group set up with Speak Out members
Speak Out influenced local services to set up the Staying Safe initiative to tackle public safety in the city
Events – Picnic in St Annes wells gardens, AGM at the Friends Centre
