Summer Fayre of Awareness

A summer fayre of awenewessAn event highlighting some of the good community work locally and internationally

On the 4th September, members of The Learning Disability Voices Network attended a really great new event hosted and organised by Jimmy Thomson.  The aim of the day was for people to share and learn news about local and international community projects.  It was a great day, Chloe and Rohan spoke to the audience about some of the work we do and the issues faced by people with learning disabilities.  We met some people from other brilliant projects like The Rotary Club of Brighton, Baggs Raggs, Beating Bowel Cancer, Raleigh International, Fairshare and Stay Up Late.  There were some other interesting speaches and some great music.  Food was provided for a small donation by The Real Junk Food Project and was delicious, as was the cake we bought from the Cake Bake stall.  We can’t wait for next year.
