6,000 reasons to support people with learning disabilities in Brighton and Hove this Christmas.
'Everyone has the right to be included in community they live in and not feel isolated.'
Brighton and is a popular place to live, work and study.
With a population of over 288,000 it’s known as a vibrant, busy and buzzing place, but did you know that over 6,000 of its residents have learning disabilities?
It’s easy to overlook them in the hustle and bustle that is Brighton and the madness that is Christmas; but they’re part of who we are, our community, and they need our understanding and support.
People with learning disabilities often find it hard to access the basic rights that we all take for granted – like friendship, a place to call home, fair treatment, good service and responsive care; at Brighton and Hove Speak Out our advocacy services help them speak up for themselves – and be heard.
Help us create a community where people with learning disabilities are treated the same as everyone else – that’s a Christmas present worth having.
Donate just £9 today or £1 (or more if you’d like to) for every day of Advent to help us support people with learning disabilities to have their voice heard.
